Giving objects a story.

Look inside the luggage, then scroll through the conveyor’s transformation. Poflow connected Blender animation, fictional contents and browser interaction into one reversible journey.

What do we leave behind?

Beyazıt Öztürk’s Şeyler exhibition reimagined objects left behind at Istanbul Airport. The conveyor sculpture, Şey, breaks the familiar circular route of luggage and gives that movement a new direction.

We translated that idea into a browser journey: a running belt, belongings with imagined stories, and a transformation the visitor can move through at their own pace. The documentary introduces the artist’s process; the production studies below explain our digital work.

Open a bag. Break the loop.

The contents are narrative clues. Their fictional stories invite interpretation while the interaction remains tied to the moving sculpture.

Meet the loop

Luggage travels around a conveyor, moving without arriving.

Look inside

Touch a bag to discover an imagined personal story.

Change direction

Move the belt through its transformation, forwards or backwards.

Return to the work

The story closes with the artist and exhibition context.

One sculpture. Two ways to explore.

Scroll

The visitor sets the animation progress in either direction.

Transform

Belt, luggage and camera follow one choreography.

Inspect

Choose a bag and reveal its fictional contents.

Resume

Return to the same view and continue the journey.

From a loop to a new direction.

Inspect the model, then open the actual Blender animation clips and move through the transformation.

Choreograph the transformation

Separate belt and transformation clips follow the visitor’s scroll in either direction.

Preserve detail with lighter geometry

Rebuilt UVs and baked materials retain luggage detail while reducing the three source assets.

Give each bag a story

Lightweight fictional X-ray contents sit inside the 3D shell without replacing the sculpture.

175.3 MB → 3.0 MB

Three source suitcases became three prepared browser assets with approximately 6,000 triangles each. We rebuilt the UV layout and baked colour, normal and material detail onto lighter geometry.

These figures describe the three luggage assets. The full animated scene is larger; its compact texture variant is about 25 MB and loads only when you open the animation study.

Four bags. Four imagined lives.

AI-generated fictional contents sit inside the 3D shells as lightweight transparent X-ray illustrations.
