A sound, a journey.
Betül Kotil’s Saya’nın Sesi carries a sound from Anatolian rural life into a public meeting place. Its 1,923 bells connect craft, cultural memory and the journeys that pass through Istanbul Airport.
Our digital brief begins with a single bell. A visitor wakes it with a touch, follows the sound and discovers how this small object becomes part of a much larger work.
Wake one bell. Discover 1,923.
The first touch belongs to the story: the visitor wakes the object before learning what its sound carries.
Wake the bell
Touch gives the object weight, movement and a voice.

Make the strike readable
Touch direction, a damped swing and clapper motion connect the gesture to the sound.
Keep copper tactile
Approved colour, surface relief and packed material data preserve the bell’s character on screen.
Reveal the scale
A reversible timeline connects one bell, the journey and the full installation.
Colour. Surface. Material response.
The production texture set: colour carries the copper character, the normal map adds relief, and the packed map controls how light meets the surface.
